Luke joined our family a little earlier than expected on Friday July 8, 2011. He was 6 lbs 14 ounces, 20 inches long. My water broke in the middle of the night, which has never happened to me, so they took him when he came. He had a little hard time at first. He was having a hard time breathing on his own and ended up in the NICU. It was really hard to not get to hold him or really even see him the first 12 hours of his life. They aren't sure if he just aspirated, or if he had pnemonia so after some chest x-rays and a C-pap they treated him with antibiotics for pnemonia just to be sure, which made him have to stay in the hospital an extra day after me. We did hotel stay at the hospital so that I could still nurse him and be close. So we finally got to come home on Wednesday July 13th. He is so cute and tiny. Here are a few pics from the hospital.
