The many faces of Kortnee

This is Kortnee and Zachary doing the scared face.
This is the kissy face
This is the just plain cute face
This is the Cheesy face
Notice that in all of these faces....she has a dirty face....however in my defense as a mother, we were at chili's eating dinner. Usually I try to get keep it relatively clean.

It's been too long!!!!

It has been WAY too long since I have posted....I guess I just figure no one really looks at this but me....But I do have some wonderfully cute pictures to share....so here it goes.
We went to Lagoon this past week and had a blast. Janene and her kids have season passes so we went with them. Sylas was getting his tonsils taken out the day after this so we kept him there a little longer with us. Janene's kids are like family to me! Here are some pictures. Oh and did I mention that it hailed on us and rained and was 75 degrees and hot in the same day! That is Utah for you!

Bryce liked that Kortnee had a "leash" so he could kart her around.

Here was Kortnee's first ride! Bryce rode most of the rides with her...but made sure that the older boys knew it was just cause he was "helping Kortnee" not because he was enjoying himself!

Here are the boys on rattlesnake rapids before the waterfall.....

Here they are after the waterfall!

This is what Kortnee calls her "cheezy" face.

Here is Kortnee on the skyride doing her "cheezy" face!
Here are all of us on the Tilt a Whirl. After Janene and Bryce left.
Two of the three stooges!
Can't forget to mention that Grandma came along for the ride and watched Kortnee most of the day only going on two rides herself. THANKS GRANDMA!

Valentines Pics!

My friend Ashley had this great idea of taking kids pictures in "yester-years" style. Kortnee was being a huge pill by the time it was her turn, but I still think they are very adorable. Thanks Ashley!!

Glad to have him among the living!

So alot has been going on at our usually quite house. Starting out, Jon had shoulder surgery on October 23rd. All in all, the surgery went ok, and he was expected to be golfing by summer. A few days after his surgery he started having a pain in his left leg...we went to the hospital to make sure it wasn't a blood clot, they found nothing wrong. So about two weeks later, he started having pain in his right leg....he was reluctant to go have it checked because the first one was nothing...but after a few days of major pain we decided to go in and have it checked out. We went in November 13th, yes Friday the 13th to find out that pretty much his entire right leg was clotted up and we ended up in the ER. After eight hours in the ER and a CAT scan, we also found out that he had "multiple" clots in his lungs (later finding out pretty much his entire lungs were filled....all lobes). He was then admitted to the hospital where he had to stay for 6 days! It was really hard not seeing him and the kids were not allowed to visit him because of H1N1. He is home now, and found out that he has Factor V which is a blood clotting disorder. He was told in the hospital that with how many he had, the likelihood that he survived was only about 5%! Needless to say, I have found a new appreciation for my husband! I can't believe I could have lost him! Anyway, he will probably be on blood thinners for the rest of his life....but I am totally ok with that as long as it keeps him with us! I am so sorry he had to go through all that and I love him so much! Through all of this I have learned how many great friends I have and I definetly couldn't have split my time between home and the hospital without my wonderful mom! There were so many friends that offered to take Kortnee, and several who visited Jon, and brought dinner! Thanks everyone...we are truely BLESSED! Here are a few pictures I took of him in the hospital....doesn't he look great?!

Halloween!

So of course my kids have to have more than one costume for Halloween right? Well we had a party which I will post pictures of soon....but here are the kids in their costumes for Trick or Treating. Zachary got a fever the day of Halloween and felt like crap! Pretty sure he had the Swine Flu. Anyway, he of course in his cute big brother way, was sad because he didn't want to ruin Kortnee's first Halloween trick or treating. So we went out, but only for a short time and then went home and watched Ghostbusters. "I ain't fraid of no ghost". Can I just say I haven't seen that movie since I was little and I always thought that it was the "state puff" marshmellow man. I guess cause it had to do with the Empire "state" building. Well apparently now that I am watching it as an adult....it is the "stay puft" marshmellow man. WHO KNEW!?

Luigi!
Kortnee discovered what suckers were on Halloween!
She put it in her mouth with the wrapper on, and soon could taste it. She LOVED it!
First Trick or Treating
Cutest costume that my neice let me borrow! Thanks Steph!
Cutest kids ever!!!!
